Anže Kopitar is the first Slovenian hockey player to play in the North American professional hockey league NHL.
One of the best hockey players in the world made his debut on October 6, 2006, in a LA Kings jersey. In the 2011/12 and 2013/14 seasons, the Kings proudly lifted the Stanley Cup, making a childhood dream come true. In 15 seasons played in the LA Kings, Kopitar has played in more than 1,100 games in the NHL, where he scored 346 goals and 654 passes.
The Kings captain scored the 1000th point in May 2020, thus entering the \"Thousand Points Club.\"
