In Slovenia, we find many castles, mansions and chalets, which testify to the exciting history of the Middle Ages, Renaissance and Baroque.
Some of them offer their premises to visitors every day. We can even spend the night, organize a fairytale wedding, enjoy exceptional cuisine, see exhibitions, or listen to a concert in many of them. On the other hand, many of them are sadly destroyed but stir our imagination even more. With the help of the latest technologies, some castles came back to life as interactive 3D models and are now at the disposal of visitors for admiring.
Predjama Castle entered the Guinness Book of Records in 2015 as the largest cave castle in the world. The building is carved into a 123 m high vertical wall and is a genuine medieval miracle due to its exceptional construction.
